Hosta Zucchini Fries forms a compact clump reaching a height of 20cm-30cm with a spread of up to 55cm at maturity. It is characterized by exceptionally long, narrow blue-green leaves with heavily rippled margins, which is a relatively rare leaf type among Hostas available on the market. The undersides of the leaves display a purple blush during spring emergence, while the leaf petioles and flower scapes are dark red. In mid-summer, fertile purple flowers appear on scapes measuring up to 50cm, eventually producing red pods. The designation Hosta Zucchini Fries is fitting, as the leaves are both elongated like French fries and green similar to zucchini.
