Hosta Zitonenfalter will form a medium clump of 14"-16" in height, with a spread of up to 32" at maturity. This is an introduction from Heinz Klose of Germany, leaves are greenish in the spring but change to a very bright gold in summer which holds for the rest of the season.
Leaves are slightly wavy and corrugated. From Germany where the name translates to Lemon Butterfly. Not slug resistant or sun tolerant. Large lavender flowers with purple stripes held on stiff scapes of up to 30" in July through to August.
