Hosta Whirlwind will form a medium mound of 18"-20" in height,with a spread of up to 40", at maturity. It is a very interesting variegated Hosta whose leaf changes throughout the season. It is a lovely addition to shady area. It forms an attractive mound of ovate to heart-shaped, folded, twisted & pointed, creamy white to lime green leaves with broad dark green margins. The leaf centre changes from creamy white in spring to a light green by midsummer.  The primary focus is on the amazing foliage.This one doesn't seem to scorch when in sun, and seems to be slug resistant too. Funnel-shaped lavender flowers are borne on 24" long scapes from July to August. A good standard Hosta for any collection. Well recommended. RHS Award Of Garden Merit
