Hosta Ventricosa Aureomarginata forms a medium to large clump, reaching a height of 55cm-60cm and spreading up to 130cm. In spring, its foliage features gold centres that may exhibit streaking. The leaves have a heart-shaped base with long, twisted tips. The deep green centres transition to bold cream edges, creating a highly glossy appearance. Its attractive shape and tidy growth habit make it ideal for smaller gardens. This variety is highly popular among collectors and is considered one of the best of the classic varieties. It is easy to grow and makes an excellent specimen plant. In late summer, it blooms with 100cm scapes of dark lavender and white striped, bell-like flowers. It has been awarded the American Hosta Society President's Exhibitor Trophy.
