Hosta Tropicana forms a substantial mound, reaching approximately 45cm to 50cm in height, with a spread of up to 100cm at maturity. Initially, the foliage emerges as bright yellow with a white margin, transitioning to light green in the centre over time. This colour change occurs in new leaves throughout the growing season. The pale green foliage features creamy white marginal variegation, with leaves that are lightly corrugated, ovate, moderately wavy, and dull on the upper surface. Pale lavender flowers bloom from mid-July into August on scapes up to 80cm tall. Hosta Tropicana is an impressive and distinctive plant.
