Hosta Tropicana will form a large size mound of about 18-20" in height, with a spread of up to 40" at maturity. The foliage on this Hosta emerges bright yellow with a white margin but changes to light green in the centre later. New leaves go through the same change as they emerge during the season. It with pale green foliage that has a creamy white marginal variegation. The leaves are lightly corrugated, ovate, moderately wavy and dull on top. Its pale lavender flowers bloom from mid-July into August on scapes up to 32" tall. Not slug resistant or sun tolerant, but a real stunner, and stand-out plant.
