Hosta Sweet Home Chicago will form a medium sized mound of about 18"-20" in height, with a spread of up to 36", at maturity. It creates a mound of gold-centred foliage that contrasts nicely with the wide blue-green margin. Leaf centre emerges chartreuse and brightens to gold especially when grown in some sun. Leaves are broadly ovate, almost heart-shaped. Vigorous grower that can make a good border plant. Lavender flowers on long 30" scapesappear in June, lasting into July, to enhance the overall look. Not slug resistant and not particularly sun tolerant, but does benefit from some sun.
