Hosta Sunset Grooves will form a medium sized mound of about 14"-16" in height, with a spread of up to 32", at maturity. It has rounded and cupped leaves that have a narrow flamed yellow centre, framed by a very wide green margin. It is slow to start with, but has an excellent growth rate, once established, and a really good substance to the leaves that gives it a good pest resistance. Give it a little sun and the gold flash just glows against the dark green background. It produces near white flowers in summer high above the foliage on 30" tall green scapes.
