Hosta Spiny Mouse forms a miniature clump reaching approximately 15cm-20cm in height, with a spread of up to 30cm at maturity. In spring, it features very thick misty blue leaves that transition to an all blue-green colour later in the season. This variety remains smaller than Hosta Blue Mouse Ears. It is characterised by broadly ovate to nearly round green foliage, with the leaves emerging from a central axis to form an upright plant. The grey-green leaves are notably thick and possess a rough, textured surface, which makes them resistant to slugs. Hosta Spiny Mouse is a unique addition, ideal for enthusiasts of mouse-themed Hostas. In July, it produces clusters of pale purple flowers held just above the foliage on 30cm blue scapes.
