Dense vase-shaped mound of shiny dark green foliage that is topped with an abundance of pinkish-purple flowers in late summer. Hosta Sparkling Burgundy offers attractive heart-shaped green leaves with a wrinkled, wavy edge. The shiny leaves are held on red petioles. Racemes of pale pinkish-purple funnel-shaped flowers on 22" burgundy scapes appear in late summer. They really do sparkle against the dark foliage. A good performer, dependable and versatile perennial requiring little care. Grown primarily for its beautiful foliage which provides colour, contrast and texture to the landscape. Dense foliage crowds out most garden weeds.
