Hosta So Sweet cultivar forms a medium-sized mound ranging from 45cm-55cm in height, with a spread of up to 100cm at maturity. This upright Hosta species features a vase-shaped clump of flat, glossy, lance-shaped leaves that are medium green with white margins. It produces floriferous racemes of funnel-shaped, highly fragrant white flowers on 90cm scapes during late summer. Placement in a border with up to six to eight hours of sunlight will enhance flower production. As a dependable and versatile perennial, it requires minimal maintenance and is primarily cultivated for its attractive foliage, which adds colour, contrast, and texture to the landscape. Additionally, its dense foliage effectively suppresses most garden weeds. Notably, the Hosta So Sweet was recognised as the American Hosta Growers Association Hosta of the Year in 1996.
