Hosta Slim & Trim develops a compact mound reaching 15cm-20cm in height and can spread up to 40cm at maturity. It is notable for its blue colouration among mini/small Hostas. The diamond-shaped leaves are substantial, not as rigid as Hosta Blue Mouse Ears, but still robust, and it swiftly forms a small, dense cluster. This variety is highly effective in collections of miniature plants and, once established, is resilient enough for border planting. Originating from Herb Benedict, this plant is a seedling of Hosta Purple Verticulated Elf.  Hosta Slim & Trim stands out as one of the finest miniature Hostas, featuring blue-green narrow, elongated leaves that are slightly cupped, twisted, and wavy. It quickly forms a dense clump adorned with lavender flowers on 45cm scapes during July and August. Additionally, it is sun-tolerant and resistant to slugs. This plant has been recognised with the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
