Hosta Round About Midnight will form a medium mound of 14"-18" in height, with a spread of up to 30" at maturity. It possesses wonderful intense blue leaves held on purple petioles.
The leaves are slightly wavy and very blue. The upright habit helps to show off the purple petioles. The leaves are glaucous on top, ovate, moderately wavy and convexly (downward) cupped with petioles that are saturated purple extending nearly to the blade. It's great because the very blue leaves are on nice purple petioles. Pale lavender flowers bloom from late July into August on scapes up to 30" tall. It sets viable seeds in medium green pods. It looks like it could be slug resitant.
