Hosta Round About Midnight forms a medium mound, reaching 36cm-45cm in height and spreading up to 75cm at maturity. It features intense blue leaves held on purple petioles. The leaves are slightly wavy and very blue. The upright habit highlights the purple petioles. The leaves are glaucous on top, ovate, moderately wavy, and convexly cupped with petioles that extend nearly to the blade and exhibit saturated purple colouring. Pale lavender flowers bloom from late July into August on scapes up to 75cm tall. It sets viable seeds in medium green pods. This variety appears to have potential slug resistance.
