Hosta Red Cadet will form a small mound of about 8"-10" in height, with a spread of up to 14" at maturity. It emerges in the spring, with gently folded, blue-green foliage, lightly waved narrowly heart-shaped leaves, and develops slight puckering with maturity. The white backed foliage is held on intense, red, spotted petioles. Lightly veined, blue to grey-green leaves. Upright scapes bearing racemes of bell-shaped, pale lavender flowers on 14" tall speckled scapes, in summer. It is quite a vigorous grower so will be great for mass planting at the front of borders. Excellent slug resistance and good sun tolerance.
