Hosta Queen of the Seas develops into a substantial clump, reaching 55cm-65cm in height and spreading up to 125cm when fully mature. It features wide clusters of heavily piecrusted, pointed blue-green leaves that create an impressive architectural display. The leaves present a bluest hue in spring, transitioning to dark green by late summer as the glaucous coating diminishes. These slightly cupped leaves highlight their white undersides and exhibit a gently twisted tip. The foliage is thick and corrugated, forming a striking mature mound. In midsummer, the clumps are adorned with near-white flowers atop 90cm spikes. Additionally, this Hosta variety is resistant to slugs. This variety garnered significant admiration at the 1997 American Hosta Society convention, securing the Best in Show award.
