Hosta Purple Verticulated Elf will form a small mound of 8"-10" in height, with a spread of up to 20" at maturity. Small mound of intensely blue leaves. Leaves are slightly cupped and wavy.
Has been used a lot in breeding to pass on the intense blue colour and flowering habit. Always shows up at Hosta auctions and demanded a high bidding price and is still fairly rare.
Named for the whorled flowering habit which is known as verticillate. Pale lavender flowers on 14" scapes, put on a show in summer. Slug resistant and sun tolerant.
