Hosta Plantaginea will form a substantial mound, reaching heights of 70cm-80cm and extending up to 60cm in width at maturity. This plant is cultivated for its attractive foliage and highly fragrant white flowers. It is a noteworthy Hosta, developing dense upright mounds of glossy, bright green, broadly oval leaves with parallel veins and a quilted surface that can enhance any shaded area of the garden. In late summer, the large clump is distinguished by some of the largest flowers observed, potentially reaching lengths of 10cm, and is recognized as one of the most fragrant Hostas available. These long, trumpet-shaped, waxy, pure white blossoms primarily open in the evening, rise on scapes up to 75cm in length, and are visually striking. The plant is notably easy to cultivate.
