Hosta Pineapple Upside-down Cake will form a medium sized mound of about 12"-15" in height, with a spread of up to 48", at maturity. It is certainly a unique hosta to add to your shade garden. The foliage is wavy and emerges as a pure green colour. After that, the centre turns to gold and the leaves develop a narrow dark green margin. Unlike most Hostas, they become more gold as the season progresses. It's worth mentioning that the leaves are just 3" wide but 9" long. The leaves are of delicate substance making this variety less sun tolerant and not very slug resistant.
