Hosta Permafrost will form a small to medium sized mound of about 14"-16", with a spread of up to 40", at maturity. This is a sport of Hosta First Frost but with wider margins. Blue leaves in spring with wide bright gold margins. The beautiful leaves in spring are irresistable. In summer, the leaves are blue-green, and margins fade to cream. Pale lavender flowers in summer held on scapes of up to 30". This Hosta is of solid substance, heart-shaped leaves are slug resistant, but not sun tolerant.
