Hosta Paul's Glory forms an attractive, medium-sized, dense mound, reaching a height of 50cm-60cm and a width of 90cm at maturity. It is widely regarded as one of the premier Hostas for its green and gold foliage. Notably, this Hosta exhibits seasonal changes in leaf colour, featuring ovate, heart-shaped leaves that emerge in spring with a broad chartreuse splash in the centre, framed by blue-green margins. By early summer, the centre transitions to a bright golden-yellow with dark green edges. From mid-summer, trumpet-shaped pale lavender flowers rise on 100cm scapes. Once established, Hosta Paul's Glory imparts dramatic appeal to any shade garden. It demonstrates reasonable sun tolerance and exhibits greater resistance to slugs compared to many other Hosta varieties. This cultivar was honoured as the American Hosta Growers Association Hosta of the Year in 1999 and has received the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
