Hosta Monkey Business forms a medium-sized, vase-shaped, upright clump that reaches a height of 40cm-45cm, with a spread of up to 75cm at maturity. The foliage is green with golden-coloured marginal variegation. Its slug-resistant leaves are slightly rippled and feature red petioles. The margin initially appears light green, subsequently turns yellow, and finally transitions to white with sufficient sunlight. Strong, upright purple-red petioles contribute to its distinctive appearance. Lavender flowers bloom in July on 75cm tall purple scapes.
