Hosta Minke will develop into a stately and large clump, reaching approximately 105 cm to 125 cm in height, with a spread of up to 160 cm at maturity. It exhibits robust growth from the onset. This species is characterised by its large size, upright posture, very strong grey-blue thick leaves, and narrow yellow margins. Hosta Minke is also notably resistant to damage caused by slugs and snails. The plant produces lavender to nearly white flowers on spikes that can reach about 165 cm tall, blooming from June to July. Hosta Minke bears resemblance to Hosta Sagae.
