Hosta Mama Mia forms a medium-sized mound, reaching 40cm-45cm in height with a spread of up to 75cm at maturity. It features a compact, dome-shaped mound of broad, heart-shaped, wavy-margined leaves with prominent veins. The leaves are slightly corrugated and have a glossy dark green appearance with golden-yellow margins that fade to cream with age. In the summer, scapes up to 70cm tall bear delicate pale lavender flowers. This variety also exhibits excellent gold autumn colour. Hosta Mama Mia is a robust grower, making it well-suited for planting in the middle or front of a border. It thrives in dappled shade.
