Hosta Lakeside Spellbinder will form a medium sized mound 20"-26" in height, with a spread of up to 50", at maturity. Foliage emerges as blue leaves, but they quickly develop rich yellow centres, that improve with the rigours of summer. By summer the leaves are shiny dark green and the centre becomes pure white. There is a lighter green colour that streaks where the centre and margin overlap. A vigorous growth rate and attractive foliage make this Hosta one of my favorites. Hosta Lakeside Spellbinder produces near white flowers on 36" scapes, in July. The heavy substance make this slug resistant as well as sun tolerant. A very striking plant for any garden.
