Hosta Ivory Queen develops into a small to medium-sized mound, typically reaching heights between 30cm and 45cm, with a spread of up to 80cm at maturity. It features reverse pattern variegation akin to Hosta Blue Ivory. This shade-loving plant forms an impressive mound of cream to near-white spear-shaped leaves, accented by broad, long-lasting blue-green margins that are slightly rippled, with touches of green jetting between them. During the height of summer, the white centres may become tinged with blue green, potentially turning solid blue, though its spring and early summer coloration is particularly distinguished. Hosta Ivory Queen grows gradually and thrives best with some exposure to morning sunlight. Planting in a cool environment helps retain its variegation. Additionally, it is resistant to slugs. Pale lavender flowers bloom on 60cm scapes in June. This cultivar is expected to be highly popular and is certainly worthy of admiration.
