Hosta Ivory Queen will form a small to medium sized mound of 12"-18" in height, with a spread of up to 32", at maturity. It has a reverse pattern variegation of Hosta Blue Ivory. This queen of shade forms a majestic mound of cream to near white, spear-shaped leaves, with broad, long-lasting blue-green, slightly rippled, margins and a dash of green jetting between the two. In the heat of summer, the white centres can become clouded with blue-green, and may even turn to a solid blue colour, but the spring and early summer colouration makes a classy looking plant. Hosta Ivory Queen grows slowly and performs best with some morning sun. Planting in a cool place will retain the variegation. Slug resistant. Pale lavender flowers on 24" scapes in June. Guaranteed to be popular. Surely fit for royalty.
