Hosta Hudson Bay will form a magnificent large mound of about 20"-24" in height, with a spread of up to 36", at maturity. Hosta Hudson Bay is an improved form of the attractive but not so easily grown Hosta Eskimo Pie. Wide blue margins surround a creamy white centre, filling a notch in the Hosta world that needed filling. There are a few white-centred blues, but this will be the biggest one to date. Fairly vigorous grower that makes a nice large open clump that will be topped with near-white flowers on 36" scapes, in midsummer. A stunning variety to have in any collection. The leaves are of good substance offering good protection against slugs & snails. It is also relatively good in the sun tolerance world. This is well up my list of favourites.
