Hosta Guacamole will form a large Hosta of 16"-20" in height, with a spread of up to 36", at maturity. It will always add drama to the shade garden. It forms an overlapping mound of slightly convex, widely oval, chartreuse-gold leaves, up to 12" long, with irregular dark green margins. Glossy above & thinly glaucous below, the leaves are adorned with chartreuse streaks jetting towards their centre. Huge, funnel-shaped, near white to pale purple, very fragrant blooms appear in summer on long 28" scapes held well above the mound. An eye-catching Hosta for specimen planting, Hosta Guacamole is noted for it's highly fragrant flowers, and leaf texture that improves with age. Guacamole is suitable for displaying in containers. Sun tolerant but not slug resistant. American Hosta Growers Association Hosta Of the Year 2002 & RHS Award Of Garden Merit.
