Hosta Gabriels Wing will form a very large upright mound of 28"-32" in height, with a spread of up to 64" at maturity. It is a yellow margined sport of the famous Hosta Empress Wu. A very large clump of slightly cupped green leaves with a nice yellow margin. The margin is said to be brighter when grown in more light, and the creamy yellow margins that hold colour long into the season. Consider this variety both slug resistant and will with stand full sun. Pale lavender flowers appear atop of long scapes of up to 46" in early summer. To ask the question.. Why would I Grow It? The answer is… A  very large mound with nice colour contrast can be a specimen piece in the garden. This Hosta is so good that we have added it to our Special Collection.
