Hosta Forbidden Fruit forms a medium mound reaching 45cm-50cm in height with a spread of up to 112cm at maturity. This remarkable Hosta, introduced by Marco Fransen, is the fully tetraploid form of Hosta Orange Marmalade. It features thick leaves with striking yellow-orange centres bordered by a wide blue-green margin, visible from a distance across the garden. The leaf centre becomes almost white late in the season. Optimal colour brightness is achieved with some sun exposure. This vigorous grower produces lavender flowers on 70cm scapes in July and August. Hosta Forbidden Fruit is a standout addition to any garden, known for its colour contrast, sun tolerance, slug resistance, and being awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
