Hosta Emerald Tiara forms a small to medium mound of 30cm-36cm in height with a spread of up to 60cm at maturity. It features a dense mound of flat, heart-shaped leaves with gold centres and bright green leaf margins, along with racemes of bell-shaped, purple flowers on 70cm scapes in June and July. This Hosta is known for its reliable and adaptable nature, requiring minimal care. It is primarily grown for its attractive foliage that adds colour, contrast, and texture to the landscape, while the purple flowers enhance visual appeal when planted in groups. The dense foliage helps suppress most garden weeds. It thrives best in rich, moist soil with light, dappled shade and performs well as a ground cover plant. This species is considered one of the best among the small to medium Hostas.
