Hosta Designer Genes is a mid-sized Hosta, distinguished by its unique coloration, reaching a height of 30cm-40cm and spreading up to 75cm at maturity. Initially, it displays very bright gold foliage with red petioles, which transitions to a greenish-beige hue by mid-summer. The robust flower scape, measuring 60cm, emerging a pale red rather than burgundy, creating an impressive visual effect. This plant has demonstrated vigorous growth and performs exceptionally well in a container. It is highly recommended for cultivation. Due to its early emergence, it is best to position it in a sheltered area with some protective fleece available during spring.
