Hosta Country Livewire forms a medium-sized mound, reaching a height of 30cm-40cm and spreading up to 80cm at maturity. Its long, pointed leaves are a deep green with a pleasant sheen. The leaf edges slightly turn up, revealing white undersides and are adorned with prominent, energetic ruffles. As it matures, the foliage broadens somewhat. Hosta Country Livewire rapidly develops into an animated open clump. While green Hostas are often overlooked, this new introduction is sure to stand out. It blooms with large lavender flowers on horizontal scapes, which can reach up to 75cm in late summer. Additionally, it is resistant to slugs. This variety is part of our Special Collection.
