Hosta Christmas Candy forms a medium mound with a height of 40cm-50cm and a spread of up to 75cm at maturity. It creates an arching mound of bright white, lance-shaped foliage with wide dark green margins. The leaves emerge in spring with cream centres that brighten to white by summer. This medium selection is a sport of Hosta Night Before Christmas, but its leaves are slightly smaller and the green margins darker. The white centre does not fade, and this Hosta is sun tolerant. It is a relatively fast grower. Lavender flowers appear on 80cm scapes in June and July. Hosta Christmas Candy is an excellent addition to any garden – consider planting more than one.
