Hosta Carnival will form a medium mound of 15"-18" in height with a spread of up to 34" at maturity.Not demanding, and with good longevity. A wonderful hosta with round green leaves and a brilliant gold margin that gets brighter through the season. It adorns a multitude of lavender, trumpet-shaped flowers on 30" scapes in July and August. Unlike many Hostas, this variety has the advantage of slug-resistant leaves. Hosta ‘Carnival’ will also tolerate sunshine. A very striking plant, but in my experience needs a little care as it can be slow to start with, but stunning eventually and one for the connoiseur. Well worth the effort though
