Hosta Blue Wedgwood forms a medium mound measuring between 40cm-50cm in height with a spread of up to 80cm at maturity. Featuring heavily seer suckered blue-green leaves, it belongs to the Tardiana group of Hostas. This cultivar is known for its disease resistance and low maintenance requirements, making it a reliable and versatile perennial that demands minimal care. It is primarily grown for its attractive foliage, which adds colour, contrast, and texture to the landscape. The dense foliage effectively suppresses most garden weeds and is resistant to slugs. The leaves are deep blue and wedge-shaped. Hosta Blue Wedgwood thrives in bright shade and prefers humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil. Once established, it exhibits excellent drought tolerance. This cultivar blooms from June to July, producing pale lavender flowers on 75cm scapes. It is a fast-growing variety that performs well in garden settings.
