Hosta Blue Shadows will form a medium mound of 14"-18" in height with a spread of up to 42" at maturity. Hosta Blue Shadows is a clump-forming, Hosta making a compact mound of broad, ovate, corrugated green leaves with blue margins and some blue streaking through the leaf. Mature leaves are cupped with lots of corrugation, giving good slug resistance. This Hosta will be small to start with, and can be a SLOW grower and finicky, so give it a good location of fertile soil and adequate moisture. Well worth the challenge. A stunning hosta when mature if sited correctly. Bright morning sun is good also. Racemes of bell-shaped, almost white flowers bloom on tall, up to 30", slender scapes in late June and last into July.
