Hosta Blue Mouse Ears will form a lovely small mound of 20cm-25cm height with a spread of up to 30cm at maturity. Hosta Blue Mouse Ears is the foremost plant in the mouse ears series, recognized for its blue-green foliage that exhibits a slightly cupped form. This variety is highly regarded for container and trough cultivation due to its robustness. The leaves possess a significant texture, offering resistance against slugs and snails. In July, sprays of soft lavender to purple flowers emerge on short green scapes measuring 45cm positioned just above the crown. This Hosta can endure some sun exposure. Notably, it was honoured with the American Hosta Growers Association Hosta of the Year award in 2008,  has received recognition from the American Hosta Society with the Distinguished Merit Hosta award 2011, and received the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
