Hosta Blue Hawaii will form a large mound of 26"-32" in height with a spread of up to 44" at maturity. It is a lovely corrugated steel blue variety that hold their colour very well, when grown in the shade. Upright, vase-shaped Hosta reaches for the sky with slightly cupped and corrugated powder-blue leaves. The breeder says that like the tropical waters of Hawaii, this Hosta has rich powdery blue color. Heavy glaucous coating on both sides of the thick leaves that have great slug resistance. A slow grower that will not reach listed size when grown in poor soil. Almost white flowers appear in jul-aug on scapes of up to 42". Give this hosta a special spot, out of direct sunlight, and enjoy!
