Hosta Blue Cadet is a small to medium-sized Hosta, reaching 30cm-40cm in height with a spread of up to 90cm at maturity. It has silvery blue foliage that is heavily textured and tends to be more resistant to slugs than the softer leaves of average Hostas. The leaves may turn from blue to a green colour when planted in shady areas. Initially slow to bulk up, it becomes strong and fast-growing once established. This plant is suitable for beginners due to its neat growth habits. Pale lavender flowers appear from July into August on compact scapes up to 75cm tall. Hosta Blue Cadet is both slug-resistant and sun-tolerant if kept moist.
