Hosta Big Mama forms a large mound 30"-36" tall and up to 60" wide at maturity. It features dark green/blue, large, rounded leaves that are ridged and slightly puckered when mature. The leaves are thicker and more rigid than its parent, Hosta Blue Angel. This vigorous Hosta adds zest to shade gardens with its showy foliage and lavender flowers on 48" spikes in midsummer. It is slug resistant, partially sun tolerant, but prefers shade. Give it plenty of space, as it grows quickly once established.
