Hosta Big Daddy will form a very large mound of 24"-30" tall with a spread of up to 48" at maturity. It makes a fabulous mound of heavily corrugated blue-green foliage, where, by late summer, the foliage changes to deep green. The leaves produce a thick bloom on top and beneath the leaves, they also have a thick substance giving them a certain amount of pest resistance once established. One of the best large, blue-leaved varieties with huge, and funnel-shaped white flowers held on 36" tall scapes, flowering from June-July. One of the best for deep shade, but will tolerate some sun.
