Hosta Big Daddy develops into a substantial mound reaching 60cm-75cm in height, with a spread of up to 120cm at maturity. This variety exhibits impressive blue-green foliage that becomes deeply green by late summer. The leaves feature a thick bloom both on top and underneath, contributing to their considerable pest resistance once established. It is recognized as one of the finest large blue-leaved varieties, producing large, funnel-shaped white flowers on 90cm tall scapes, blooming from June to July. Hosta Big Daddy performs exceptionally well in deep shade conditions but can also tolerate some sunlight.
