Hosta Ava Ann is a medium Hosta reaching 12"-15" in height with a spread of up to 32" by maturity. It has shiny yellow leaves with a somewhat rippled margin. Keeps its colour for most of the season but tends to turn more chartreuse by late summer. Pale lavender flowers appear on pale green scapes of up to 24" in June & July. Tends to prefer semi shade but does need some sunlight to maintain the colour. Doesn't appear to be slug resistant. Bright and cheery this new introduction from Jim Heinz lights up like a piercing ray of sunshine. This  is part of our Special Collection.
