Hosta Amalia will form a medium mound of 14"-18" in height with a spread of up to 30" at maturity. It is a spectacular Hosta with a cascading habit. It's large yellow lime leaves are surrounded by a dark green piecrust margin. The centre of the leaf becomes more white as it matures. A variegated sport of Hosta Dancing Queen, that adds a nice dark green margin. Chartreuse-yellow leaves have a rippled dark green margin. The dark green margin often jets to the centre of the leaf. Lavender flowers appear on scapes of about 24" tall, from late June to mid July. This Hosta will stand out in the shade garden. Hosta Amalia is neither slug resistant nor sun tolerant, but is still a fabulous variety. A very showy Hosta, once matured.
