Hosta Above the Clouds will from a large mound of 24"-26" in height with an eventual spread of up to 60" by the time it reaches maturity. Cloudy blue leaves, the colour of the sky, on a rainy summer day, are cupped and have a puckered texture. Compared to Hosta  Diamond Lake, this variety has more rounded leaves and no rippling along the margin. It is also more compact, even for a large Hosta. Lavender flowers appear on 38" scapes, in midsummer. Slug resistant.
